Getting married in Spain offers a wide variety of possibilities. From luxury estates, to a beach on a romantic bay or just on the fantastic campsite where you have been coming for years! Getting married in Spain is not legal. Of course you see a lot of celebrities getting married in Spain. They too were married to the law in the Netherlands a few weeks before! 
In the European Union, each individual country has the authority to determine the conditions for a legal marriage. As soon as one of the partners is domiciled in Spain or holds Spanish nationality, that will naturally be different.
